Topic: BENEFITS OF GOD’S COVENANT(2).
Scripture: [Genesis 22:16-18]
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son.
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
BELOVED HEAR THIS.
We shall be examining today, the covenant of BLESSING. Covenant blessing is help or favour received from God based on the agreement entered into with Him. We serve the Covenant-keeping God. He always keeps His own part of the covenant. He never forgets, fails or disappoints. As believers, we have access to God’s greater blessings through covenants.
God’s covenants have conditions, as we have discussed over the past few days. For you to get the benefits accrue to you, you must fulfill your own part of the agreement. Meeting the conditions automatically leads to Blessings. Your blessings from God will only be released when you fully meet the demands and by trusting in Christ Jesus alone.
There are enormous earthly blessings for keeping God’s covenant. This is particularly evident under the Abrahamic covenant. God made a covenant of great blessings to Abraham and his family.
God desires that we His children walk in covenant Blessings. He has promised to never break His covenant nor alter His Word. Psalms 89:34, My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
We enjoy God’s abundant blessings as we learn to walk in our covenant relationship with Him and take it seriously. When we do exactly what God wants us to do, then the blessings shall come upon us, and overtake us.
Your blessings can be provoked by your sacrificial giving, you cannot access the covenant of blessings if you are not ready to make sacrifice because it’s provoked by sacrificial giving. Sacrificial blessing is a platform to enjoy the sworn blessings. Psalms 50:5
