BELOVED, HEAR THIS.
Commitment permeates every aspect of life. As Christians, we are committed to various entities – our families, employers, the church, and more. However, the most significant commitment we make is to God Himself.
As John 3:16 reminds us, ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’ Commitment requires sacrifice, which involves surrendering ourselves to the Lord.
It means prioritizing Him above all else, dedicating ourselves to love Him, live according to His principles, and fulfill His purposes for our lives.
A committed individual will always submit to God’s will, desires, plans, and intentions, aligning with His sovereign purposes. Commitment to God’s will is not only good but also essential, as it serves His purposes and is crucial for fulfilling His plans.
