Topic: HOW TO OVERCOME SELF DOUBT WHEN TRYING NEW THINGS (2).
Scripture: [Mark 11:23-24].
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
BELOVED, HEAR THIS:
In yesterday’s devotional, I shared with you five points on how to overcome self doubt when trying new things.
I will continue from where I stopped yesterday:
6: Embrace the concept of “beginner’s mind”: Recognize that everyone starts somewhere, and it’s okay to be a beginner. Embrace the excitement and curiosity of learning something new.
7: Be focused: Remember why you wanted to try this new thing in the first place. What’s driving your desire to learn ? Connecting with your purpose can help you overcome self-doubt and stay motivated.
8: Be ready to take risks: Consider the risks and benefits of trying something new. Sometimes, taking risk can help you build confidence and develop a sense of resilience.
9: Learn from others: Observe people who have successfully tried new things. Learn from their experiences, and ask for advice or guidance.
10: Celebrate effort, not just results: Acknowledge and celebrate the effort you put into trying something new, regardless of the outcome. This mindset shift can help you focus on the process, not just the end result.
11: Develop a growth mindset: Believe that your abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. People with a growth mindset are more likely to embrace challenges and view failures as opportunities for growth.
Remember, overcoming self-doubt is a process that takes time, patience, and practice. Be kind to yourself, and don’t give up on trying new things. Every experience, regardless of the outcome, is an opportunity for growth and learning.
