RHIM PROPHETIC WORD AND DAILY DEVOTIONAL PRAYER.

Topic: LESSONS LEARNED FROM THOSE WHO WERE IMPATIENT (1).
Scripture: [Isaiah 40: 31].
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
BELOVED, HEAR THIS.
The Bible offers numerous examples of individuals who struggled with impatience, showcasing the consequences and providing valuable lessons for us. Let’s consider a few of them that were impatient and the valuable lessons learned from them.
1: Moses (Numbers 20:2-12).
Moses’ impatience led him to disobey God’s instructions, striking the rock twice instead of speaking to it. This act of impatience cost him the privilege of entering the Promised Land.
Lesson: Impatience can lead to disobedience and missed opportunities.
2: Saul (1 Samuel 13:8-14, 28:3-6).
Saul’s impatience led him to offer sacrifices without waiting for Samuel, and later, to consult a medium instead of trusting God. His impatience resulted in the loss of his kingdom.
Lesson: Impatience can lead to spiritual compromise and loss of divine favour.
3: Esau (Genesis 25:29-34).
Esau’s impatience for immediate gratification led him to trade his birthright for a bowl of pottage. This hasty decision had long-term consequences.
Lesson: Impatience can lead to shortsighted decisions with lasting regrets.
4: Jonah (Jonah 1:1-3).
Jonah’s impatience with God’s plan led him to flee from his prophetic calling. This resulted in a series of challenges, including being swallowed by a whale.
Lesson: Impatience can lead to resistance against God’s will and unforeseen consequences.
