RHIM PROPHETIC WORD AND DAILY DEVOTIONAL PRAYER.

Topic: LESSONS LEARNED FROM THOSE WHO WERE IMPATIENT (2).
Scripture: [Isaiah 40: 31].
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
BELOVED, HEAR THIS.
Impatience can rob us of God’s best. Let’s continue from where we stopped yesterday by examining the Israelites, Abraham and Samson.
5: The Israelites (Exodus 32:1-35).
The Israelites’ impatience while waiting for Moses led them to create and worship the golden calf. This idolatry resulted in severe consequences.
Lesson: Impatience can lead to spiritual infidelity and divine judgment.
2: Abraham (Genesis 16:1-16).
Abraham, promised a son by God, grew impatient. He took matters into his own hands, fathering Ishmael through Hagar, Sarah’s servant. This latter resulted to conflict between Sarah and Hagar and Ishmael was rejected as the promised heir.
Lesson: Abraham’s impatience led to a fleshly solution, contrary to God’s plan.
3: Samson (Judges 14-16).
Samson, a Nazirite, was impatient with his parents’ guidance and God’s timing. He made a mistake by marrying a Philistine woman, Delilah. Samson ended up disobeying his vows by revealing God’s secrets and the source of his strength to Delilah.
At the end, he lost his strength and power, he was held captive and became blind, he died prematurely. Samson failed to trust in God’s timing, he took matters into his own hands and disregarded divine guidance.
Lesson: Samson’s impatience led to compromise, disobedience, and destruction.
