Scripture: [Proverbs 13: 20].
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
BELOVED, HEAR THIS:
Who you walk with in life determines a lot about you. This timeless wisdom highlights the profound impact of relationships on our lives. The people we surround ourselves with can either lift us up or bring us down, influencing our thoughts, actions, and destiny.
Associations can have a profound effect on us, either positively or negatively. Let’s take a look at the benefits of right associations:
Spiritual Growth:
Right associations foster spiritual growth by deepening prayer life, encouraging Bible study and meditation and promoting obedience to God’s Word.
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend (Proverbs 27:17)
Wisdom:
Right associations provide wisdom through shared experiences and insights, Biblical guidance and counsel, mentorship and coaching and access to diverse perspectives.
Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom (Proverbs 13:10)
Encouragement:
Right associations offer encouragement by uplifting and affirming words, support during trials and struggles, celebration of successes and praying together.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
(Hebrews 3:13)
