Topic: HOW TO BE SEPARATED (2).
Scripture: [2Corinthians 6:17]
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
BELOVED, HEAR THIS.
To be separated unto God, you must set your mind on things above, not on earthly things. As Colossians 3:1-3 sayd: “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”
This passage explains how to focus your mind and thoughts on heavenly things, cultivating a deep desire for the things of God’s kingdom. The world is full of distractions, temptations, and worldly pleasures that can weigh you down. However, these things are temporary, not permanent, and should not dominate your thoughts.
When you focus on earthly things, your attention is diverted from the things above. You may forget the blessings and promises that come with being a child of God through Jesus Christ. Our Bible text provides guidance on setting your mind on things above, enabling you to experience the joy that God desires for you.
