Topic: BARRIERS TO DIVINE ELEVATION (3).
Scripture: [Job 36:11].
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
BELOVED, HEAR THIS.
The next barrier to elevation we shall be looking at today is:
4: Disobedience: Intentional or unintentional refusal to follow God’s commands, principles or guidance.
No one disobeys God’s instructions and experience divine lifting. Obedience to God’s instructions is essential for divine elevation.
Types of Disobedience:
1: Direct Disobedience: Willfully disobeying God’s commands.
2: Indirect Disobedience: Ignoring or neglecting God’s guidance.
3: Partial Disobedience: Obeying some commands, but not others.
4:Continuous Disobedience: Repeatedly disobeying God’s commands.
Effects of Disobedience:
1: Separation from God (Isaiah 59:2)
2: Spiritual stagnation (Hebrews 5:12-14)
3: Loss of divine protection (Psalm 106:13-15)
4: Consequences and punishment (Hebrews 10:26-31)
5: Hindrance to divine elevation (1 Samuel 15:23)
Causes of Disobedience:
1: Pride and self-will (Proverbs 16:18)
2: Lack of faith and trust (Hebrews 11:6)
3: Ignorance of God’s Word (Hosea 4:6)
4: Worldly influences (1 John 2:15-17)
5: Unrepentant sin (Proverbs 28:13-14)
Overcoming Disobedience:
1: Recognize and confess disobedience (1 John 1:9)
2: Study and obey God’s Word (Joshua 1:8)
3: Seek accountability and support (Proverbs 11:14)
4: Cultivate humility and repentance (2 Chronicles 7:14)
5: Depend on God’s strength and guidance (Psalm 119:33-37)
Consequences of Disobedience:
1: Spiritual death (Ephesians 2:1-3)
2: Eternal separation from God (Matthew 25:41)
3: Loss of eternal rewards (1 Corinthians 3:12-15)
